St Peters Church Abbots Morton

About the Venue – A Historic & Inspiring Setting

St Peter’s Church in Abbots Morton, Worcestershire, is a special location for our Floral Installation Masterclass. With a history dating back to the Saxon period, this charming medieval church provides a pretty backdrop for large-scale floral designs.

Historical: The site has been a place of worship since Saxon times, with the first recorded church standing here before the Norman conquest. Mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, the village of Abbots Morton was once owned by Evesham Abbey, whose abbots used it as a peaceful country retreat. The church itself has evolved over centuries, with its 12th-century north wall, a 14th-century chancel and Lady Chapel, and 15th-century exposed roof beams. The beautifully crafted south doorway and new oak gates reflect the care taken in preserving this special church.
