Funeral flowers
Natural funeral flowers
Funeral flowers are such an important part of saying farewell and remembering and celebrating the lives of family and special friends. My displays are carefully designed to reflect the love and care felt by those who have lost a loved one.
My floral and foliage designs provide an alternative to the more traditional funeral flowers offered. I promote a garden-gathered, relaxed ‘wildflower’ style which really lets the flowers speak for themselves. Always fresh, natural and beautiful, my arrangements can be gentle and reflective or if preferred can be lively, bright and cheerful.
This natural style is often selected by friends and families of gardeners, and those who love the outdoors and care for the environment.
Some example requests I have received: ‘wildflower style’, ‘cottage garden style’, ‘English meadow’ ‘hedgerow style’ ‘summer extravaganza of flowers’ ‘a reflection of the garden’ ‘I will leave it to you just make it bright and cheerful’!

- Floral spray – A beautiful long design covered in seasonal flowers varying in size from 2 – 5 feet arranged on a moss base.
- Wreath – A circular moss base filled with flowers and foliage. One or several wreaths representing different family members can be placed on the coffin.
- Wild meadow with textured foliage, grasses, seedpods designed on a moss base varying in length from 2 – 5 feet.
- Baskets of flowers, one or several baskets filled with flowers.
- Specific designs to reflect the loved ones interests, we can talk through your ideas and options

Annual memorial tributes
Many people like to remember loved ones each year and take time to think and reminisce about past times, remembering birthdays or anniversaries.
This often includes placing flowers on a favourite spot – maybe in a garden, at the natural burial ground, in the church yard, on a bench or on a favourite walk.
My flower designs can vary according to customer needs and the proposed locations of memorial flowers.
- Fresh flowers memorial wreath on a moss base (all fully compostable)
- Sheaf, an arrangement of flowers designed to lay flat in a favourite spot
- Dried flowers sheaf, designed to lie flat
- Posy of fresh flowers – small hand tied arrangement with raffia around the stems
- A posy of flowers on a palm leaf tray with the flowers arranged in a moss base.
- Bouquet of flowers
All the arrangements are fully compostable and won’t include any plastic or foam.
